ORIGAMI POSTER DESIGN
The creators of Spiel Magazine were looking to set up a 5-a-side football tournament for design agencies. They asked us if we could design a set of posters that could be sent out as invitations to the possible teams.
We collaborated with fellow designer Dan Goodwin to create these dynamic posters that fold up into an origami football. The sport its self is a very interactive activity and we wanted this to resonate across our design.
Whilst not a perfect ball, the final form is a rounded cube that clients fold, suitable for kick-ups and other fun studio games. The object is fun to play with, as well as being a formal poster and invite.
We wanted to get people involved, so the aim was to create something you could essentially kick up in the air and throw to your friends.
Team Work - Worked closely with a other designer to create the design of the poster.
Conceptual Thinking - Thought outside the box to create a unique design that could be blown up.
Adobe Illustrator - Created the logo design using custom type. As well as the patterns on the poster.
Adobe Indesign - Created the layout for the poster ready to be printed on a risograph printer.
